Kiertamo is a recycling and reuse center operated by the City of Joensuu’s employment services (Taitamo) in Joensuu, Finland. Located on Salpakadulla, Kiertamo opened in September 2021 with a dual mission: to support unemployed job seekers through work training and to reduce waste by promoting the reuse of goods like furniture. Employing around 10 individuals at a time in customer service, pricing, and shelving roles, Kiertamo reinvests its proceeds into Taitamo’s work training programs and Joensuu’s climate goals.
